Story tips

Use the tip line. It is structured so a reporter can act on what you send, and it is one-way: you will get a plain acknowledgement, not a conversation. There is no live chat with a reporter.

Corrections

Tell us what is inaccurate and what the correct position is, with any documents. See our corrections policy and log.

Right of reply and complaints

If we have approached you for comment, reply through the address on that approach so it is recorded against the story. Complaints and takedown requests are logged with the date received and answered in writing.

Press and permissions

You are welcome to quote us with a link. We do not accept advertising, sponsored content or affiliate arrangements, so please do not send commercial proposals.

If you have lost money

We cannot help you recover money and we will not assess your position. Contact your bank first, then the Financial Ombudsman Service, then Action Fraud, and use the FCA consumer helpline on 0800 111 6768 for questions about authorisation. All four are free.
